About ~
DOMAINE ABACI

DOMAINE ABACI Pinot Noir is a boutique wine grown by Peter and Pamela Abaci at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Monte Sereno, California. Peter and Pamela planted their grapes in 2012 and harvested their first vintage in 2015. Their goal is to stay true to the classic taste of a traditional French Burgundy, one of the most celebrated wine grapes in the world. The winemaking and bottling are done by Coastal Range Vineyards.

Historical accounts and modern archeology have found the land of ancient Armenia to be the cradle of winemaking for the world. Peter and Pamela wanted to carry that tradition forward to their northern California property. In past generations, Peter’s own family had a history of winemaking. With a nod to the wine’s Burgundy roots, they chose to name their wine DOMAINE ABACI, and in the spirit of their Armenian winemaking past, they created the Ա logo to be the center of the wine label. Ա is the first letter of the Armenian alphabet and is the equivalent of the letter A. Here is how to pronounce Abaci correctly:

a-ba-ci or \ā-bā-jē\

Each bottle of DOMAINE ABACI Pinot Noir brings together the magic of the Pinot Noir grape grown in an expressive terroir under the watchful eyes of the stewards of an ancient winemaking past.
